Brief Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
Arrival at Paro International Airport. Drive to Thimphu (approx. 1 hour)
Attend the vibrant Thimphu Tshechu (if timing allows). Evening at leisure in Thimphu.
Day 2: Thimphu Festival
Full day attending the Thimphu Tshechu. Witness traditional masked dances (Cham), cultural performances, and local rituals. Explore local markets and handicrafts.
Day 3: Thimphu – Punakha
Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass. Enjoy panoramic Himalayan views and 108 stupas.
Option 1: Visit Chimi Lhakhang
Option 2: River rafting on the Mo Chhu River
Overnight in Punakha.
Day 4: Punakha Exploration
Morning hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten
Afternoon visit to the magnificent Punakha Dzong
Evening at leisure.
Day 5: Punakha – Phobjikha Valley
Drive to Phobjikha Valley. Hike down into the valley
Visit Gangtey Monastery and Khewang Lhakhang
Experience rural Bhutanese life.
Day 6: Phobjikha – Paro
Drive to Paro. Visit local textile shops and handicraft centres
Optional visit to art galleries and museums.
Day 7: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike
Hike to the iconic Paro Taktsang. Enjoy breathtaking views and a spiritual atmosphere. Evening relaxation in Paro.
Day 8: Departure
